Mr Altınay, father of 3, could not study as there was not a school in his village, Alahacı, in central province of Sivas. The old man learnt with his own effort how to read and write, and even got 5 books published.

One of the 5 books is Altınay’s biography, and the rest are poetry and religious books. The old man has over 1,000 poems apart from the published ones.
